Globally, fast food generates revenue of over $600 billion and growing by 2.5% per year. Despite the changing dynamics within the industry, and there being an explosion of diversity, the industry has remained quite the same in many of the developing countries, such as Kenya where The Shack Nairobi is located.
The Shack founder Salman Elias, saw an opportunity in the growing fast food’s eating out culture in Nairobi. Me being a designer keen on disrupting the normal way of running businesses locally, by the use of technology to build a better customer experience, while netting more sales for the business owner, our goals were aligned.
I partnered with the company to strategize and design an easy-to-use digital experience, using Shopify as the building platform.

Jumani Jewellery founder Munir Hussein saw an opportunity in the growing industry and being a huge Jewelry enthusiast and aspiring entrepreneur, he jumped right on it.
We agreed on using Shopify as the platform to build the Jewelry e-commerce store. That way he can reach both local clients and also international clients.
